This is our SAVE LIFE project
During our work for the tsunami victims at the end of 2004 and in 2005, we met many parents whose sick children urgently needed help. At the end of 2005, we therefore decided to start the SAVE LIFE project. Within the scope of SAVE LIFE, we have helped in providing funds for heart surgeries, corrections of cleft lips and palates and increasingly for cancer therapies. However, health problems that are not fatal are also on our support list, such as for example eye surgeries in case of visual impairments, hearing aids in case of deafness, medication for juvenile diabetes and a lot more. The best insight into our work is provided by the visit report at the end of this page. Jeanette Kühn (founder and Director of House of Hope) visited a few of our SAVE LIFE children in Sri Lanka in 2015.
Nethmini - our First Heart Patient - 2005 until 2015
We accompany our children even after medical treatment for at least one year with food donations and follow-up examinations. If necessary, we support the children through our Food & Education Programme until they have reached the age of 18 and/or found a workplace.

After returning from her visit to the project in Sri Lanka (2015), Jeanette Kühn reported as follows: "It was very difficult for me to accept the deep gratitude of the families whose children we are taking care of: All of them fell onto their knees in front of me, touching the ground with their foreheads. I begged them not to do so, but in vain. All the families and children whom I met bowed to the ground several times. For us, who are having a good live in Germany, it is almost unbelievable how much our financial support changes in the lives of these families. Even small amounts of 30 to 50 euros per month help provide a child with medical care and sufficient food. Your donation directly goes to the children. Please continue to support us in our effort to give these children a chance."
