The goal of the House of Hope e.V. is children's aid focusing on helping orphans and foster home children. In Sri Lanka and Thailand, where we started after the terrible flood catastrophy, we are supporting children in any possible way and not only with Tsumani. But also in Germany children and teenagers require in general more help as well. This is due to the growing social poverty in the West and the death of the parents. It is our goal to put our strength in supporting children in need also in Germany. We are supporting smaller projects which are working very directly and effectively. We are rising our voice for those who are too week and who remain unseen compared to the great catastrophies worldwide. Quite often they have to wait too long for help. But especially there it is important to help and with our small size and very lean structure of organisation we can support children in need very individually.
We are meeting our special claim to invest the biggest part of the donations directly into the projects and to cut down administration expenses to a minimum. We are successful with that, because we are only counting honorarily working members to our activities team. Founder and head: Jeanette Kühn, journalist, born 1957 in Munich. She sais: "Together with seven very close friends I founded House of Hope. To them belongs a big space in my heart. These friends are not hunting for profit and material things. They are practicing human beeing, neighbour hood care and they are living every day with an open heart for people in need, trying to improve their living standard as much as possible. I am very happy to know these wonderful women and men."
